Overview of the Home Buying Process

Here is a quick overview of the home buying process and the steps involved in your Lake Havasu Real Estate purchase. If you have any questions on any of the steps please feel free to let me know and I will go over these steps with you in further detail.

• Find a Realtor you can trust and feel comfortable with.
• Speak with you Realtor and analyze your needs and your budget.
• Obtain a Pre-Qualification from a trusted lender.
• Select & View Properties.
• Write an offer to purchase the home of your choice and provide an “Earnest Deposit.” An Earnest Deposit is a good faith deposit to show you are serious about purchasing the property and completing the transaction.
• Negotiate and Counteroffer
• Accept the Contract
• Open Escrow & have title company order preliminary title report.
• Schedule a Home Inspection &/or Termite Inspection for the property.
• Provide additional requested documentation to the lender to continue loan process.
• Order an Appraisal
• Secure Underwriting conditions and provide additional information requested from lender.
• Obtain Loan Approval
• You will now be contacted by the title/escrow company to sign final documents including loan documents and deeds of trust.
